The man sitting across the desk from men was agonizing over the fact that the beautiful woman he loved and desired was not solely his alon.
He said, " Vicki is all that I' ve ever looked for in a woman. She's vivacious, sensual, and popular. That's my problem. A lot of men want to woman like Vicki. ?Right now there's another man I'm competing with. some competition I am! I'm a mere office clerk he's a wealthy executive.
"You see, Vicki is a career girl. She's a secretary in the company I work for. This other guy is a successful executive ther. I can't really compete with him, and it worries me to death. I can't afford a cadillac. My clothes aren't flashy like his. I'm  not even as good looking as he is, with all his saunas and sunbathing and message. I'm afraid I'll lose Vicki enteirly to him. And I know he doesn't love her. He doesn't want to marry her. He's a Don Juan. He'll only use her and abuse her. I love Vicki, but i don't know what to do to win her heart.
I said, " the first thing you must do is gt rid of the negative idea that there is nothing you can do. You can do plenty! But you have to get down to basic realities. For instance, stop trying to compete with this other man on his level. You don't have to go out and buy cars, clothes and expensive gifts for Vicki. You don't have to get into debt up to you ears. From what you tell me of this woman, she is liberated and progressive. It seems to me that she is looking for inner qualities in a man, not outer appearances.
I explained to him that this is the age of the "new woman." women want finer qualities in men these days, not bulging muscles and flashy car and oodles of money. And I went on to explain that these finer qualities reside hidden within each of us, buried beaeath a mountain of old customs, traditions, and ideas. I said " You have to get back yourself. You have been using your left brain predominantly for year now. You're used to it. you've grown accustomed to thinking, planning, plotting, competing, when all the while there lies whithin you right brain an untapped storehouse of wonderful human qualities that would delight any woman. Real attractivencess does not come from saunas and massages. True masculinity is an inner quality it cannot be manufactured."
My friend immediately wanted to know how he could obtain these dynamic inner qualities and achieve personal happiness through them. Before I could tell him that. I had to explain to him how the right brain works like a movie projector.
